What should I avoid before and after a Halo Tribrid treatment?

Accepted Answer

Before your Halo Tribrid treatment, you should avoid taking antihistamines, NSAIDs, and antibiotics 48 hours prior to your treatment as well as avoid applying retinol before your treatment. After treatment, patients should avoid strenuous exercise and sweating until skin is healed. Avoiding direct sunlight is also important to prevent damage to the skin and to provide protection until the healing process is complete.

What should I expect post-treatment?

Immediately after treatment, your skin may feel warm and tight with some redness and swelling. Depending on the treatment level, redness may persist for up to 7 days and swelling may be experienced for 2-4 days. MENDS (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) will also appear as dark tiny spots post-treatment as they are part of the skin’s natural renewal process and typically resolve within 5-7 days as the skin begins to naturally exfoliate.

Direct sun exposure should be avoided for at least 2 weeks post-treatment with strict UV protection following healing.
Makeup can be worn after the peeling process is complete.
