Patients should also avoid using any tanning methods prior to the appointment. Post-treatment it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight until skin is healed.

What should I expect post-treatment?

Your skin may initially feel warm and slightly sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn, and some redness may be present.Application of a cold compress can help to treat any swelling or discomfort immediately following the procedures. It is recommended that you avoid direct sun exposure during recovery and always apply sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.  Many patients are able to resume normal activities immediately.
